From: 2004 N.C.P.M.A. Program Committee
To: All N.C.P.M.A. Members
Subject: Fall Conference - "Color My World"
Date: August 2004

It's that time of the year to start making your plans to attend the annual N.C.P.M.A. Fall Conference. It will be held at the Sheraton Imperial in RTP again this year, and the dates are October 6-8. The theme for this year’s conference is “Color my World... A Bright Future for NCPMA”.

This is a great opportunity to hear other counties' success stories, share ideas and concerns with representatives from other agencies, and visit the vendors' exhibits to explore new technologies. You never know.... you might just learn something!

Be thinking of topics of concern to bring to the “Round Table Discussion” on Thursday afternoon. Check out the preliminary agenda that is included in the newsletter and here on the Fall Conference website. We have tried hard to bring you a program that contains useful and entertaining information. Of course, it may change slightly, but at least you will get the idea of what you have to look forward to.

Don't forget to bring your "best map" to enter in our Poster Show-off. Two awards will be given: one for "best contents" and one for "best visual".

Keep in mind that this conference gives you 16 hours towards your certification or re-certification. So make your plans and reservations now. Sheraton Imperial reservations must be made by September 15th in order to get the NCPMA discounted rate. And make sure to get you registration forms to me before September 13th! (deadline extended)

Thank you

My father passed away on Friday August 13th and I would like to express my deep appreciation the members of the NCPMA for their support through my father’s illness and death. My Program committee has been there for me every step of the way and has taken over when I was unavailable. The Garden Basket the NCPMA sent for the service was beautiful. The prayers and concerns over the last few months have made me feel especially lucky to have such caring friends. Thank you again; my family and I are very grateful.

Sincerely,
Suzie Nicholson
